Set off from Folkestone and begin your European adventure with a run across France and into Germany, finishing the first day in Saarlouis. From there, the route heads south towards the beautiful town of Colmar, before continuing through the spectacular scenery heading towards Austria.
The next stage brings you to the legendary Grossglockner, one of Europe's most famous mountain roads. Once there, the tour includes a full day off at Grossglockner, giving you the opportunity to relax, explore the area, enjoy the mountain scenery or simply take some time away from the bike before the next stage of the journey.
From Grossglockner, the route heads south through the Alps towards the legendary Stelvio Pass, finishing in Bormio. Here, another full day off is planned. This gives you time to explore Bormio, relax, enjoy the local area or take the opportunity for an optional ride through some of the surrounding Alpine roads.
The journey then continues from Bormio towards Switzerland, crossing the spectacular Grimsel and Furka Passes before arriving in Grindelwald, surrounded by some of Switzerland's most dramatic Alpine scenery.
A full day off in Grindelwald gives you the chance to properly enjoy this spectacular location. You can explore the town and surrounding area, take in the mountain views, or simply relax and recharge before beginning the return journey.
The return route takes you through France, stopping in Nancy before continuing north to Mons in Belgium. From Mons, the final leg heads towards the Eurotunnel for the journey back to the UK.
The tour includes three planned rest days at some of the most spectacular locations on the route:
Day 5 – Grossglockner
A full day to relax, explore the area or enjoy the mountain roads without luggage.
Day 7 – Bormio
A full day to explore Bormio and the surrounding Alps, or simply enjoy a well-earned rest.
Day 9 – Grindelwald
A full day to experience one of Switzerland's most scenic Alpine destinations before starting the journey home.
This is a tour designed around the motorbike riding experience, but without making every day a long-distance push. The planned rest days give riders time to enjoy the destinations, take in the scenery and recover between the major mountain-road stages.
With famous Alpine passes, spectacular scenery, carefully planned overnight stops and three dedicated rest days, this is a European motorbike adventure combining great riding, unforgettable roads and time to enjoy the places you visit.
